Get ready for spectacular views of two fjords – the Malangen and Balsfjord. The route starts in a beautiful birch and pine forest. When you pass the tree line at an altitude of 300-400 m, the spectacular fjord landscape appears.
The peaks in the Malangen area are 800-1,200m above sea level. The higher you go, the more spectacular the view becomes. When you reach the top, you are rewarded with a 360° panoramic view of the Malangen Peninsula and the mountain ranges in the surrounding area. We sometimes catch a glimpse of animals such as reindeer, moose, white-tailed eagles and golden eagles. The guided hikes to the top of the mountain are demanding, so participants must be in good shape and have suitable clothing and footwear. Some routes involve an ascent of up to 1,000m. However, none of the hikes involve dangerous sections.
IMPORTANT NOTES
– Participants require a good level of physical fitness and must be able to climb for 6 hours.

– Suitable footwear (hiking boots), water, sunscreen, sun hat, waterproof jacket and warm layers.
