Naustet – north Norwegian coastal culture in a nutshell
The bar at Malangen Resort is inspired by a typical Norwegian boathouse. It’s situated in a secluded part of the hotel building and has a wonderful atmosphere. Naustet Pub has a vintage interior that oozes romantic north Norwegian coastal culture and nostalgia. Naustet Pub leads into a spacious room with seating, a pool table and access to the terrace.
Wilderness Camp
Our Wilderness Camp has an idyllic setting on the shores of Lake Nikkavannet, just a 20-minute walk from the resort. This sheltered place is perfect for events, relaxing around the campfire or as a starting point for activities – all year round. Hosting events here adds a unique nature-based setting.
The Terrace
The pier terrace is a natural extension of the restaurant and lobby. You can enjoy a wide range of meals and refreshments here “with sea salt in the air”. The pier terrace is a perfect place if you want to be close to the sea and enjoy the summer sun.
Guest marina
The recently upgraded guest marina at Malangen Resort has two quays and two rock breakwaters providing protection from the elements. Two floating piers are moored within the breakwaters offering berths for around 10 smaller boats. Larger recreational boats can also dock at the resort.
Husky yard
Malangen Resort’s own dog yard with more than 60 huskies is situated just a 20-minute walk from the resort. During the winter months, the huskies are busy doing what they love best – pulling dog sleds for visitors. Summer is also a good time for the dogs, albeit more leisurely.
Unlike most dog yards, our dogs are not tied up. Instead, they live in separate kennels that they share with another dog. This is to ensure the best possible animal welfare and happy dogs. It’s also possible to reach the dog yard by car.
Arctic Spa
We keep our promise that all rooms at Malangen Resort have wonderful fjord views. Consequently, our Artic Spa is no exception. You can enjoy a rare panoramic view in the warmth of our glass-fronted sauna facing the fjord or a hot tub on the quayside. This is truly an experience that is out of the ordinary.
